The Betta-Tech CU Series features 8 Heater/Chiller Circulator units which have been specially developed for medical and laboratory based applications, where the cooling heating of liquids to temperatures ranging from -35°C – +70°C is required.

Our compact self-contained units are highly versatile in nature and compatible with a range of pumps and temperature controllers. Betta-Tech offer a variety of accessories, including a P.I.D controller, which is popular with many customers as it ensures accuracy within 0.1 of a degree, something that is often essential when operating scientific and industrial equipment.

Betta-Tech chillers are considered far superior to traditional mains water cooling, predominantly due to their efficiency, but also because they place less strain on equipment. Traditional cooling methods require large volumes of water which is not only wasteful, but is also very expensive. In addition to this, former cooling processes can result in corrosion and scaling of the equipment.

The design of the Betta-Tech chiller has been optimised for ease of use, whilst also ensuring that every point of the device is accessible for repair and servicing.

Dependant on your chilling/heating needs there is a variety of models that you can choose from. Specification from model to model differs as each has been optimised for different requirements, predefined by temperature, pressure, flow rate and tubing size.

Should your require any of the following equipment to be heated, Electron Microscope, NMR, Laser or Vacuum System, you will need to find out the certain information before consulting our Specification Table. Buyers are required to know:

  • The heat load to be dissipated to water e.g. diffusion pump heater, lenses etc.
  • Flow rate or tubing size
  • Minimum pressure

You can calculate basic heat load with the following formula:
Flow rate x wt. of fluid x sp. Heat x ΔT = Heat Extraction.
